Land Acknowledgement
The Cannabis Alliance acknowledges that our organization is based in Seattle, which occupies the traditional lands of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Duwamish Tribe (Dkhw'Duw'Absh). We honor and respect the enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous peoples and their traditional territories.
We recognize the Duwamish Tribe's ongoing connection to this land, their contributions to the community, and their resilience in the face of historical and contemporary injustices. We express our gratitude for the opportunity to live, work, and gather on their ancestral lands.
The Cannabis Alliance is committed to supporting Indigenous sovereignty, rights, and culture. We strive to educate ourselves and our community, and to take meaningful actions that respect and uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples.
