Blake Refund Bureau

Join us for a special Webinar Wednesday hosted by our Board President and Equity & Justice Committee Co-Chair Jessica Pichardo to discuss State v. Blake and the Blake Refund Bureau. This event is hosted live via Facebook.

In 2021, the Washington State Supreme Court found the law criminalizing drug possession unconstitutional. As a result of this decision, known as State v. Blake, any Blake-related convictions qualify to be removed (vacated) from one’s criminal record, and any legal financial obligations (LFOs) paid as a result qualify for financial reimbursement.

If you have past drug possession convictions in Washington State (including marijuana and paraphernalia) you may be entitled to refunds. The 2021 State v Blake state Supreme Court decision found the law criminalizing drug possession unconstitutional, and convictions dating back to 1971 may qualify for removal from one’s criminal record, and financial refunds may be provided for court-ordered fines or costs.
