The members of any board of directors make decisions about the organization’s direction. An effective board is an active board whose members pay attention and engage with informed opinions. A powerful board of directors is guided by its mission.

The mission of The Cannabis Alliance is dedicated to the advancement of an ethical, equitable, vital, and sustainable cannabis industry.  Does that speak to you?  Do you have informed opinions about what could be done to improve the industry? Are you ready to dip your toe into advocating on a professional level?

The Cannabis Alliance board election is September 14th.  Three board seats become available each year to serve a three-year term.

Nominations are now open! 

We encourage you to self-nominate by September 11, 2023 to be considered by members for a decision-making position within The Alliance. The voting will begin at our next General Meeting on September 14th and be open for a week. 

Adjunct Leadership

Leadership at The Alliance can also mean becoming an adjunct board member. Congratulations to our newest adjunct board member, Ryan Moses!  Ryan dedicates his efforts to helping cannabis businesses secure the proper level of insurance through the company of Parker, Smith and Feek.  As an adjunct board member, he attends the bi-weekly board meetings and is ‘in-the-wings’ in case a current board member is not able to fulfill their duty. Consider an adjunct position within The Alliance by reaching out to our Executive Director.
