Town Hall: Meet the Washington State Department of Health Medical Cannabis Program

We are excited to extend a heartfelt invitation to an event that seeks to amplify the voices and experiences of Washington State medical cannabis patients. On December 7th, from 5 PM to 7 PM, we’ll be hosting a Department of Health Town Hall—an open dialogue focusing on the important topic of medical cannabis through insightful conversations and shared stories.

We’ll explore the intricate balance patients maintain, from the time devoted to medical care to the profound impact of cannabis on their well-being.  Our panel of patients, providers, producers, and the Department of Health will reflect on the shared narratives from the audience, weaving together emerging themes that echo the experiences of the medical cannabis community.

We will investigate what it takes to establish a medical cannabis patient status, as well as maintain that status.  We will delve into the world of complex negotiations many patients experience in the traditional medical system. As we move on to explore the sources and expenses surrounding medical cannabis and the availability of medicine, we’ll unravel where medicines are sourced and the financial commitments involved.

Throughout the discussion the panel will step back and reflect on the insights gained, evaluating our current trajectory—celebrating strides made while scrutinizing areas that demand our collective attention.  Guided by the spirit of exploration and unity, we’ll journey through diverse perspectives, seeking actionable insights, and fostering a sense of community.
