Last Saturday the Education and Community Outreach Committee organized a fantastic farm tour at Hunter and Reich Farms. The tour followed last months tour of Skagit Organics working back on the supply chain. Our hosts, Travis Reich and Adam Hunter were knowledgeable and gracious. Jerry Whiting of LeBlanc CNE who sources some of his hemp with Hunter and Reich came and gave a talk about the variety of ways he works with hemp including bringing along some paper samples! If that wasn’t great enough, we were treated to a ride around the tree line where we were rewarded with a surprise crop of Chicken in the Woods fungi!
